My Story
Wine is my passion and profession! It's an immersive artform and a craft developed through dedication to beauty. Place, climate and the presence of human intervention bring wine to life. What you get in your glass is the result of magical interaction between natures gifts and the people who are determined to nurture it.
My interest in wine began as a family tradition and realized my devotion to this artform with one captivating sip of Mofete Etna Bianco 2015. It was the first time I felt speechless and that mystery was my motivation. I began studying the craft and the more I learned, the more I felt at home.
I enrolled at the Boston University Wine Program with Master of Wine, William Nesto. This is where I learned technique, vocabulary and the ability to taste professionally. My journey led me to explore wine regions, starting with Italy in Barolo and Barbaresco. The next stop was California in St. Rita Hills and the Santa Barbara region and of course Napa valley. Recently I made to Burgundy, the Mecca of wine lovers. These legendary vineyards confirmed my sense of knowledge from all the books and classes.
My work truly began as a wine matchmaker or in other words; sales. Starting at the Urban Grape in Boston as a sales associate, then I made the commitment to become a Sommelier. I was offered a position from John Slover at the opening of Contessa, Major Foods Group’s most important project in Boston at the time.
After working at Contessa for years and developing my skillset as sommelier in the restaurant, I began a new journey and moved to Manhattan! Continuing my employment with Major Foods Group, I began working at their prestigious NYC establishment, The Grill. When I learned the company was starting a new members only club, I sensed a unique outlet for my craft.
I proudly participated in the opening of ZZ’s Members Club, which remains my current position as a sommelier. I’m now excited to begin the newest expression of my adventure with wine as a content creator!
